How To Measure Yourself:

Bust - The bust measurement is taken by placing the tape measure over the back, underneath the arms and then over the highest point on the bust. Do not pull the tape measure too tight. This should be an exact measurement, not too tight and not too loose.

Waist - Here it is very important to measure your true waist size, and not to pull the tape measure too tight. You should be able to slip two fingers between the tape and your waist.

Hips - The hip measurement is taken over the widest part of the hips.

Arm Length - Bend your arm slightly. Measure from the shoulder bone down your arm to the elbow and continue to an inch below your wrist bone.

Back Width from Shoulder to Shoulder - Measure from the left shoulder seam to the right shoulder seam.

Back Waist Length - Your back waist length is measured from the bone at the base of the neck down to your natural waistline. This measurement is very important when making a garment with a fitted waist or seam at the waist.

Back to Hip Length - This measurement is taken from the bone at the base the neck down to your natural hip line. When taking this measurements for Showmanship Suits please make sure you measure to the desired finished length of the suit jacket or tunic.

Show Pants Outseam - For the length of the pants, measure at your side from the waist over your hip bone to the length you wish the pants to be. This is the length of the outside leg seam.

Show Pants Inseam - You also need to know the length of your inside leg seam. Measure from the crotch to the length you wish the pants to be.
